RMKS/1.  It is my pleasure to announce the recipients of the Fiscal Year 2015 
Navy League of the United States Admiral Vern Clark and General James L. 
Jones Safety Awards.  These prestigious awards recognize Navy and Marine 
Corps Units for unparalleled safety achievements during the previous Fiscal 
Year.  Congratulations to the following winners:
    a.  Admiral Vern Clark Safety Awards:
        Individual:  Mrs. Angela Mora, NCTC, Port Hueneme
        Unit:  USS IWO JIMA (LHD 7)
    b.  General James L. Jones Safety Awards:
        Individual:  Mr. Raymond Aguilar, MCLB, Barstow
        Unit:  Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152
        (VMGR-152)

2.  These annual Navy League Awards recognize individuals and units that 
foster world class safety throughout the Department of the Navy through ideas 
and programs that reduce avoidable injuries and fatalities.  Recipients were 
chosen from a stellar group of highly competitive nominees.  I commend them 
for their exceptional commitment to safety excellence and for their passion 
in making risk reduction an inherent part of the Department of the Navy 
culture.  Their actions no doubt preserved resources, prevented injuries and 
saved lives.

3.  The awards will be presented at the Navy Leagues annual Sea-Air-Space 
Exposition during its Secretary of the Navy Luncheon on May 18, 2016.  The 
exposition will be held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, 
National Harbor, MD.
