RMKS/1.  It is my pleasure to announce the recipients of the Fiscal Year 2015 
Safety Excellence Award.  These prestigious awards recognize Navy and Marine 
Corps Units for unparalleled safety program achievements.

2.  The Fiscal Year 2015 Safety Excellence Award winners are:
    a.  Afloat:  USS FRANK CABLE (AS 40)
    b.  Ashore:  Marine Corps Logistics Base, Barstow
    c.  Aviation:  Strike Fighter Squadron ONE NINE FIVE (VFA 195)
    d.  Emerging Center of Excellence:  Naval Diving and Salvage
        Training Center
    e.  Expeditionary:  Naval Mobile Construction Battalion FIVE (NMCB 5)
    f.  Off-Duty:  Littoral Combat Ship Crew 204 (LCS Crew 204)
    g.  Safety Integration in Acquisition:  Program Executive Officer
        Littoral Combat Ships (PEO (LCS))

3.  Safety and risk management are indispensable to effectively prepare for 
and complete the Department of the Navy’s mission, whether at home or 
deployed in harm's way.  The accomplishments of these units are vivid 
evidence of commitment to mission, safety excellence, the Nation, and to the 
Department of the Navy as a world class safety organization.  These units 
have justly earned the right to fly my Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Safety 
Flag for the next year.  Congratulations to all the SECNAV Safety Excellence 
Award recipients.
