SUBJ/2016 ADMIRAL ELMO R. ZUMWALT AWARD WINNERS//

RMKS/1.  It is my pleasure to announce the recipients of the Admiral Elmo R. 
Zumwalt Award for excellence in lodging management for calendar year 2016.  
Lodging operations, to include facilities, customer service, finance, and 
management, are accredited and evaluated periodically based on established 
performance standards.  Navy Gateway Inns and Suites (NGIS) and Fisher House 
(FH) activities that have exhibited outstanding management in all areas are 
awarded the Admiral Elmo R. Zumwalt Award.  This year, ten installations 
achieved this distinguished recognition:

    a.  Naval Air Station Oceana-Dam Neck Annex (NGIS)
    b.  Naval Station Norfolk (NGIS)
    c.  Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads (NGIS)
    d.  Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads Northwest Annex (NGIS)
    e.  Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NGIS)
    f.  Naval Base Kitsap Bremerton (NGIS)
    g.  Naval Base Kitsap Bangor (NGIS)
    h.  Naval Station Everett-Smokey Point (NGIS)
    i.  Naval Base Ventura County San Nicolas Island (NGIS)
    j.  Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune (FH)

2.  Receiving the Admiral Elmo R. Zumwalt Award is a significant 
accomplishment and the hallmark of superior lodging management. Bravo Zulu to 
these installations for their total commitment to excellence and delivering 
the highest level of customer service.
