RMKS/1.  The President of the United States has approved the report of the 
selection board which recommends the following Officer in the Line on the 
Active Duty list for promotion to the permanent grade of Rear Admiral (Upper 
Half).  The selectee is listed with designator and present assignment.

2.  Frocking to Rear Admiral (Upper Half) is not authorized except on an 
individual basis by the Secretary of Defense.  Frocking, when authorized, 
will follow Senate confirmation.
