This message alerts Commanders of the immunization requirement changes made to the Medical Readiness Reporting System (MRRS) in June 2017. These changes aligned MRRS reporting requirements with reference (a) and impacted units reported medical readiness. 2. Per reference (a), all active duty personnel require completion of the Hepatitis B vaccine series. Members whose Hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs) serum titer has a positive result will be classified medically immune in MRRS and will not require vaccination. Additionally, those with documented completion of the Hepatitis B vaccine series will be considered complete. Furthermore, members 18 years of age and older can substitute TWINRIX for both Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccines. Completion of the Hepatitis B vaccine series requires three doses of either TWINRIX, Hepatitis B vaccine, or a combination of both. a. Those with MRRS access can identify personnel affected by generating a report via the following MRRS link: Report\Immunizations\Completed\Immunizations\Hep B Projection Report. 3. Per reference (a), all active duty personnel will require two doses of the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine. Those individuals with one recorded MMR vaccination will need to obtain the second dose or provide documentation of having received the second dose. Members whose MMR serum titers have a positive result or who have documented completion of two vaccinations will not require vaccination. a. Those with MRRS access can identify personnel affected by generating a report via the following MRRS link: Report\Immunizations\Completed\Immunizations\MMR Projection Report. 4. Per reference (a), those personnel who require Meningococcal immunization will require a booster dose every five years, vice every ten years. a. Those with MRRS access can identify personnel affected by generating a report via the following MRRS link: Report\Immunizations\Completed\Immunizations\MGC Projection Report. 5. These new requirements were reflected in MRRS in June 2017. To minimize the administrative impact to medical readiness, these changes were applied to active duty members who entered on active duty on or after 1 January 2010. Personnel who entered on active duty before 1 January 2010 will undergo phased MRRS implementation announced via subsequent message. 6. Released by Sean J. Stackley, Acting Secretary of the Navy.// BT #0001 NNNN UNCLASSIFIED//
