SUBJ/HOLIDAY MESSAGE TO THE FLEET//

RMKS/1.  Polly and I would like to wish every Active Duty and Reserve Force 
Sailor and Marine, civilian, and family member of the Navy and Marine Corps 
team a wonderful holiday season and joyful New Year.

2.  It is my highest honor to serve among you, and every day I am humbled by 
your service and sacrifice.

3.  Whether you are at sea or on land, at home or abroad, your service 
affords the rest of us our freedom which we often take for granted.

4.  But rest assured we do not take you for granted.  Your fellow Americans, 
and our friends and allies around the world, respect you and value your 
commitment.

5.  I need you on the Navy and Marine Corps team, but more importantly your 
family needs you.  Stay safe and give yourself, your family, your shipmates, 
and fellow Marines the most precious gift of all - you.

6.  The holiday season is a time of reflection so if you are with your loved 
ones, I encourage you to take some time and reflect on those who are 
deployed.

7.  Each and every one of you are in Polly and my thoughts and prayers.  Know 
that your mission is important and your sacrifice is greatly appreciated.

8.  Happy Holidays to you, your families, and during this season may God 
continue to Bless the United States of America and the Navy and Marine Corps 
team.
