RMKS/1.  It is with great sadness that I announce the death of General Paul 
X. Kelley, U.S. Marine Corps (Retired) the 28th Commandant of the Marine 
Corps.  General Kelley passed away on the morning of 29 December 2019.

2.  In accordance with reference (a), all ships and stations of the 
Department of the Navy (DON) will half-mast the National Ensign upon receipt 
of this notice until sunset on 5 January 2020.

3.  Additionally, all ships and stations of the DON will half-mast the 
National Ensign on the date of interment.  A separate message will announce 
the date of interment.

4.  Released by the Honorable Thomas B. Modly, Acting Secretary of the 
Navy.//
