NARR/REF A IS ALNAV 018/20, 2020 ACTIVE DUTY FUND DRIVE IN SUPPORT OF THE 
NAVY -MARINE CORPS RELIEF SOCIETY//

RMKS/1.  Reference (a) announced the 2020 Active Duty fund drive supporting 
the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS).  This year's drive is scheduled 
to run from 01 March 2020 through 30 April 2020.

2.  Typically, we promote the Active Duty campaign supporting NMCRS through 
large scale kick-off and fund drive events.  However, we fully understand the 
precautions currently being undertaken with guidelines from the Centers for 
Disease Control regarding Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) that discourages 
large group interactions.  In light of these events, I am extending the end 
date to 30 June 2020 to give commands the time and opportunity to support the 
fund drive.

3.  I am a sincere believer in and am committed to the mission of the NMCRS 
which is to serve Sailors, Marines, and their families in their time of need.

4.  We will continue to monitor the situation and make adjustments to the 
campaign accordingly.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact 
your organizational NMCRS coordinator.
