RMKS/1.  This NAVADMIN announces the Association of Naval Services Officers 
(ANSO) 2014 Leadership Symposium which will be held 27 February 2014 at the 
Miramar Officer's Club, San Diego, CA.  

2.  ANSO is an organization that focuses on the mentorship and professional 
development of Hispanic service members in the seafaring services.  The 2014 
Leadership Symposium will bring together officers, civilian executives, 
enlisted personnel, and other senior leaders in the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast 
Guard, and maritime industry to learn from, network with, and mentor one 
another, as well as conduct professional development training.  In order to 
make the most of the symposium, it is recommended that attendees bring along 
their evaluations, fitness reports, and other performance records.  

3.  Per ref (a), Navy-funded participation for this conference has been 
approved within a limited scope.  Navy will sponsor 100 service members by 
funding their registrations to the conference.  Uniform for Navy personnel 
will be service khaki for E7 and above and service uniform for E6 and below.  
All Navy-funded registrations will be coordinated through the Navy Office of 
Diversity and Inclusion.  To obtain a conference registration reservation,

4.  Commands shall not fund registrations.  Commands are not authorized to 
expend travel funds, including lodging, transportation, and meals and 
incidental expenses.  Lunch will be provided on 27 February 2014 for those 
attending.  All other meals will be purchased by the attendee.
