RMKS/1.  This NAVADMIN announces convening of the Acquisition Corps 
Membership Selection Board on 29 October 2014.  Acquisition Corps membership 
is a prerequisite for assignment to one of the approximately 1,560 Department 
of the Navy (DON) critically-coded officer acquisition billets throughout the 
force.

2.  Policy and guidance on Acquisition Corps membership procedures for DON 
active-duty officers may be found at the following website:
http://www.secnav.navy.mil/rda/workforce/Pages/StrategyPolicy.aspx.

3.  In order to be considered for membership, prospective applicants must 
meet all the prerequisites for Defense Acquisition Corps membership listed in 
ref (a), prior to application due date.
Applications (no endorsements required) must be received by
19 September 2014, to be considered by the board.

4.  Applications should include a signed coversheet, copy of the Defense 
Acquisition University transcript, and college transcripts (copies of the 
college transcripts are acceptable) to document compliance with the business 
academic requirement.  To ensure submitted packages are accepted, all 
necessary documentation must be included.  The preferred method of submitting 
applications is by mail.  Submission of applications from multiple methods is 
strongly discouraged.

Applications will also be accepted via encrypted email (signed and scanned 
copies only) for those officers deployed aboard ships or stationed at remote 
sites where regular mail could be disrupted.
Email packages to:  cscselboard(at)navy.mil.  Applications received after 19 
September 2014 will not be accepted and will be returned to applicant or 
destroyed.
