SUBJ/ALIGNMENT OF THE LIMITED DUTY OFFICER AND CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 
INFORMATION DOMINANCE CORPS DESIGNATORS.//

RMKS/1.  This NAVADMIN announces the realignment of the information dominance 
corps (IDC) limited duty officer (LDO) designators within the 68XX series and 
the IDC chief warrant officer (CWO) designators within the 78XX series.  This 
NAVADMIN will serve as an interim change to SECNAVINST 1400.1B, Officer 
Competitive Categories for the Active Duty List (ADL) of The Navy and Marine 
Corps.  A revision to the instruction will be forwarded by SEPCOR.

2.  In order to further define and formalize the IDC governance model, the 
Secretary of the Navy has approved the alignment of the four existing IDC LDO 
designators within the 68XX series and the alignment of the four existing IDC 
CWO designators within the 78XX series.  Establishment of the new IDC LDO and 
CWO designators will align job functions, increase efficiencies in accession, 
career management, and the distribution of IDC personnel, and align the LDO 
and CWO communities with their restricted line counterparts.

3.  The IDC LDO designators are revised as follows:
- 680X - Meteorology/Oceanography (Disestablishes 646X)
- 681X  Information Warfare (Disestablishes 644X)
- 682X  Information Professional (Disestablishes 642X)
- 683X  Intelligence  (Disestablishes 645X)

4.  The IDC CWO designators are revised as follows:
- 781X  Information Warfare Technician (Disestablishes 744X)
- 782X  Information Systems Technician (Disestablishes 742X)
- 783X  Intelligence Technician (Disestablishes 745X)
- 784X  Cyber Warrant (Disestablishes 743X)

5.  No administrative action is required by individual officers in
these designators.
