RMKS/1.  A Flag/SES panel reviewed 22 candidate nominations and selected the 
2016 Admiral Stan Arthur Award Winners per ref a.  This award recognizes 
military and civilian logisticians who epitomize excellence in logistics 
planning and execution.  It is with great pleasure that I announce the 2016 
Admiral Stan Arthur Award Winners:

     a.  2016 Military Logistician of the Year is Major Darren Gallagher, 
USMC, Director of the Crisis Response Cell, Global Logistics Support 
Ammunitions.
     b.  2016 Civilian Logistician of the Year is Ms. Roberta Jio, Food 
Service Director of Military Sealift Command Afloat Units.
     c.  2016 Logistics Team of the Year is the Naval Supply Systems 
Command's Logistics Cell (LOGCELL) Team.

2.  These awards will be formally presented by ADM (Ret) Arthur and VADM 
Smith at a later date.  OPNAV N41 will contact winning commands to make 
arrangements for the ceremony.  Winners will receive both plaques and cash 
awards, as well as have their names engraved on a permanently displayed 
plaque in the OPNAV N4 spaces.

3.  My heartiest congratulations to all of our deserving award winners and 
nominees!  I would like to extend my gratitude for your superlative 
innovative solutions that have resulted in quantifiable benefits to the 
United States Navy and enhanced the logistics profession.  Bravo Zulu!
