RMKS/1.  As directed in references (a) through (d), this NAVADMIN serves as a 
final reminder that all Navy personnel who are eligible to opt-in to the 
Blended Retirement System (BRS) must complete the Blended Retirement System 
Opt-In Course by 31 December 2017.  We owe it to our Sailors and their 
families to ensure that they are fully informed on what will be one of the 
most important financial decisions they will make  this is a leadership 
issue.

2.  Navy commands must ensure that eligible members complete this training 
and ensure training completion is documented in the Fleet Training Management 
and Planning System (FLTMPS).  BRS opt-in training is available on Navy E-
Learning (course #: JKDDC-BRS-OPT-IN-1.0) which can be accessed through My 
Navy Portal at https://my.navy.mil/ and on Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) at 
https://jkodirect.jten.mil/Atlas2/page/login/Login.jsf (course
#:  J3OP-US1332).

3.  For those interested in opting into the BRS, a NAVADMIN outlining BRS 
enrollment policy and procedures will be released soon.
