RMKS/1.  This NAVADMIN announces the support of the Navy for Fleet 
participation and attendance at Sea Service Affinity Group (SSAG) conferences 
and symposiums.

2.  The Navy has longstanding relationships with the SSAGs of our nation, the 
Association of Naval Services Officers (ANSO), the National Naval Officers 
Association (NNOA) and the Sea Services Leadership Association (SSLA).  These 
affinity groups have a long and storied history of cultivating and preparing 
our Sailors to achieve great success during their naval careers through 
mentorship and leadership development opportunities, including regional and 
national conferences and symposiums.

3.  Participation and attendance at the SSAG national events is encouraged.  
Our senior Navy leaders, to include Chief of Naval Operations, Vice Chief of 
Naval Operations, Chief of Naval Personnel, Master Chief Petty Officer of the 
Navy and others will be present to engage our Sailors on issues facing the 
Fleet.

4.  Limited registration funding for these events is centrally available from 
the Career Management Branch and can be contacted via e-mail at pers-
443.fct(at)navy.mil.  Subject to the procedures outlined in references A and 
B pertaining to conference attendance, local commanders are encouraged to 
promote attendance at local SSAG events and use available temporary assigned 
duty funding to facilitate travel to non-local SSAG events.

5.  SSAG national conference dates and locations are as follows:
    a.  National Naval Officers Association National Symposium:
7-8 August 2019, San Diego, CA.
    b.  Sea Service Leadership Associations Joint Women Leadership
Symposium:  22-23 August 2019, Washington, DC.
    c.  Association of Naval Services Officers Annual Symposium: Date and 
location to be determined.
