Pursuant to reference (a), the Non-Article 5 North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Vigilance Medal is hereby authorized for acceptance and wear by U.S. Navy personnel. U.S. Navy personnel who are awarded the medal by NATO, may formally accept and wear the medal in accordance with Section 7342 of Title 5, United States Code, DoD Directive 1005.13, Gifts and Decorations from Foreign Governments and policy contained in DoD Instruction 1348.33 "DoD Military Decorations and Awards Program."
