The purpose of this Military Pay Advisory is to re-announce the Military Spouse Licensure Reimbursement Program (MSLRP) initially announced in reference A and updated in Reference B effective 20 December 2019. 2. Background. The Department of the Navy is dedicated to supporting families and currently provides resources and advocacy for spouse employment. References (a) and (b) provide the Navy the opportunity to reimburse members up to $500 for state licensure and certification costs of a spouse of a member of the Armed Forces arising from relocation to another state due to a permanent change of station(PCS) transfer for members whose PCS orders were issued on or after 12 December 2017 through 19 December 2019. 3. Updates. The following two key updates to the MSLRP are effective 20 December 2019: a. Maximum Amount Authorized. Members who were issued PCS orders on or after 20 December 2019 may be reimbursed up to a maximum of $1,000 per reference (B), paragraph 3(a). b. Elimination of consecutive PCS assignment requirement. IAW reference (B), paragraph 3(c)(1) removes the requirement that a spouse maintain the professional license subject to reimbursement throughout consecutive PCS duty stations. 4.
