THIS MESSAGE TARGETS PERSONNEL, ADMINISTRATIVE, DISBURSING, AND PASS OFFICES 
REGARDING CURRENT PAY/PERSONNEL ISSUES FOR BOTH ACTIVE AND RESERVE PERSONNEL. 

2. ISSUE 201501: Authorized Departure for Individuals at Higher Risk from COVID-19-
EXTENSION OF DEPARTURE AUTHORITY. IAW ref (a) The Authorized Departure Authority 
termination date has been extended for 30 days from June 11, 2020 to July 11, 2020. 

Evacuation allowances for personnel on Authorized Departure orders will end at 2400, 
Saturday, July 11, 2020.  Authority to expend funds from lines of accounting 
classification listed in ref (b) will end at this time. No per diem, miscellaneous 
expenses or transportation costs incurred on or after 0001, Sunday, July 12, 2020 
will be authorized for reimbursement unless an extension is granted through the 
Secretarial Process.

All associated guidance for safe haven extensions described in reference (c) remain 
in effect at the termination of the authorized departure extension on 11 July 2020.  
Requests for extension of safe haven allowances beyond 11 July 2020 may be submitted 
to Military Pay and Compensation Policy Branch (OPNAV N130) via e-mail at 
nxag_n130c(at)navy.mil.
