AND DISBO. THIS MESSAGE TARGETS PERSONNEL, ADMINISTRATIVE,
DISBURSING, AND PASS OFFICES REGARDING CURRENT PAY/PERSONNEL
ISSUES FOR BOTH ACTIVE AND RESERVE PERSONNEL.

2. ISSUE 203201:  Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) automatic enrollment percentage 
change effective October 1, 2020.  The Under Secretary of Defense announced 
via reference (a) that the Executive Director of the Federal Retirement Thrift 
Investment Board (FRTIB) has directed the following changes to TSP automatic 
enrollment contributions effective October 1, 2020:
	a. Members with a PEBD of October 1, 2020, or afterwards, will be 
automatically enrolled in TSP at a rate of 5%.

	b. Members who were automatically enrolled in the Blended Retirement 
System (BRS) and who are not contributing to TSP at the end of the 
calendar year will be automatically re-enrolled into TSP at a rate of 5%.
