REGARDING CURRENT PAY/PERSONNEL ISSUES FOR BOTH ACTIVE AND RESERVE PERSONNEL.

2. ISSUE 210801: BAH ENTITLEMENT FOR OFFICER PROMOTIONS AND ENLISTED CONVERSIONS.  
DFAS Cleveland has notified the field of BAH-D erroneously stopping in January and 
February 2021 due to the processing of conversions of enlisted members to 
commissioned officer or warrant officer.  The FID 35 in the FUT entry of the MMPA 
is erroneously changing to reflect a dependent child is over 21 years of age.  
Therefore DJMS-AC system is stopping BAH on the date reflected in the FUT entry.  
Once the FUT entry is dropped and posted to the MMPA, the FUT entry will be 
systematically remove from the FUT file. 

a.  BAH-DEPENDENT is also stopping if a promotion has been processed and posted 
to MMPA.  Once the FUT entry is dropped and post to the MMPA, the FUT entry will be 
systematically remove from the FUT file. 

b.  BAH-SINGLE is also stopping if a conversion is processed via an E603 transaction 
to post a conversion of an enlisted member to a commissioned officer. 

c.  BAH-DIFF is also stopping if a promotion is processed and posted to MMPA.

6.  ISSUE 210802:  DISCUSSION.  These issues were reported to DFAS-Analysis and Design 
(A&D) for research and corrective action.  DFAS will advise once the fix and 
corrective action has been processed.  

7.  ISSUE 210803:  FIELD ACTION.  Until further notice field commands are advised to 
use DMO to process FID’s 3501/3601 transactions for any BAH entitlements that were 
erroneously stopped or FID’s 3504/3604 transactions to change the FID 35/36 with 
the same data posted to the MMPA, in order to bypass DJMS-AC system validations and 
to prevent the stoppage of the BAH entitlement.
