Personal Readiness Summits

Personal Readiness Summits

Personal Readiness Summits (PR Summits) and NAAP/DDD Seminars are conducted through out the year at various locations. They provide attendees a basic overview of these programs and outlines resources for dealing with these issues in a timely manner.

PR Summits address issues that can negatively impact the daily lives of Sailors and their families by including representation from the following five areas:

Physical Readiness Program (PRP)
Navy Alcohol Abuse Prevention (NAAP)
Drug Detection and Deterrence (DDD)‚Äč
Sexual Assault Prevention Response (SAPR)
Family Advocacy Program (FAP)

NAAP/DDD Seminars focus on Navy’s alcohol and drug abuse prevention efforts and reducing alcohol-related incidents, DUI/DWIs, underage drinking and positive urinalyses. Seminar attendees interface with NAAP/DDD Program Management Teams to discuss program policies and procedures and listen to Fleet concerns/challenges. Attendees are provided with tools and "Best Practices" they can incorporate into their ongoing prevention programs, ultimately enhancing operational readiness. Attendees will come away with a better comprehension of Navy's substance abuse prevention programs and a clearer understanding of how to make the programs work for them and their commands.
