AIR VEHICLE PILOT (AVP) (737X) WARRANT OFFICER 1
AVP warrant officers will be trained as technical specialists in the operation of the MQ-25 platform. In the future, AVP warrant officers may also be qualified to operate additional unmanned aerial vehicles to support Navy requirements.
AVP APPLICANT INFORMATION
The Air Vehicle Pilot (AVP) is not a traditional Navy Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) program.
AVP warrant officers (WO) will be accessed by Commander Navy Recruiting Command (CNRC) via the Officer Candidate School (OCS) recruiting program.
The AVP warrant officer community will consider prospective AVP students primarily from civilian and enlisted fleet sailors who meet the requirements outlined in Program Authorization 106A.
CNRC is responsible for taking applications and providing program support for all applicants.
Applicants should read and be familiar with the OCS application process outlined in OPNAVINST 1420.1B CH. 4.
Applicants will utilize the Officer Program Application Form OPNAV 1420/1. Officer Program Application Form instructions are outlined in OPNAVINST 1420.1B CH 2.
Interviews shall be conducted as outlined in OPNAVINST 1420.1B CH. 4 and documented on the Interviewer's Appraisal Sheet NAVCRUIT 1131/5.
BOARD SCHEDULE
FY-26 AVP Board is scheduled for 14 JULY 2025. Packages are due to Commander Navy Recruiting Command by NLT 06 June 2025.
