NEC Archive Agreement
We are still offering the NEC Archive Agreement for X-Ray (L17A), Pharmacy (L22A), Surgical (L23A), and Laboratory (L31A) technicians. The NEC Archive agreement allows Sailors to earn an NEC, complete two consecutive tours, and then archive the NEC. This is agreement is only available to new members taking C-Schools. If you are interested in taking advantage of this program, contact our office at hm_ecm@navy.mil.
NOTE: This is not a “grandfather” program for those already serving in those NECs this is only for new applicants.
See PDF link and contact HM ECM office at HM_ECM@navy.mil for example.
HM NEC Stacking:
- Sailors who earn L23A and then earn L14A and/or L25A can now keep all three on their profile.
- Sailors who earn L17A and then earn L15A and/or L16A can now keep all three on their profile.
C-WAY
As of 28 February 2024, all CWAY requests are completed via MNA. Do not send requests to askmncc@navy.mil. For more specific questions, reach out to career_waypoints@navy.mil.
OBLISERV
My Navy Assignments will now automatically submit an OBLISERV authorization request for Sailors applying to eligible jobs while in their negotiation window. CCC’s must monitor the OBLISERV Tracker for Sailors in their AOR and update their intentions in MNA. Visit:
www.mynavyhr.navy.mil
. NAVADMIN 277/23 outlines the indefinite extension of the higher tenure (HYT) Plus Pilot Program to improve Navy retention and Fleet readiness. Sailors nearing HYT are encouraged to contact their detailer for a valid billet; HYT (EDLN date) will be adjusted to OBLISERV on their orders. All other HYT request will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
To retain Sailors, we are taking the following actions:
1) Sailors will not be released earlier than their SEAOS for Fleet Reserve/Retirements or out Navy Officer programs (e.g., Army, Air Force, Marine). NAVADMIN 142/22 “Early Separation Cancellation” Service commitments will be fulfilled.
2) Conversion opportunities/questions to other ratings need to be vetted by the ECM Office 13-15 months prior to PRD and/or SEAOS. Contact HMCS Kevin Sadler directly at
kevin.r.sadler.mil@us.navy.mil
.
3) Open for PACT Sailors and convert-in from other ratings.
4) Open for RC to AC. Contact HMCS Jamarh Dixon at
jamarh.dixon.mil@us.navy.mil
for more information.
5) HM SELRES questions, please reach out to HMCS Megan Daniel at
megan.m.daniel3.mil@us.navy.mil
.
