Navy Leader Development Framework

Navy Leader Development Framework version 3.0 remains current (link at right).

CNO has issued two tasks important to this framework:

     1) Advance Navy Culture, and to advance our culture, we must refresh our Leader Development Framework.

     2) Adopt a competency-based education model, which has 13 competencies.

N17 is the lead for developing the leadership competency, and the first output of that effort will be an update to NLDF 4.0. This update will include new external standards (from Congress/OSD) and internal standards (GRGB).
