Link or stud pattern of conservative design.  Cuff links are gold for Officers/CPOs and silver or black for E6 and below, except mother-of pearl cuff links are worn with Formal Dress (white tie).
 
Correct Wear 
 
Wear with the face of the cuff link directed outboard from the wearer.
