Command Master Chief, MyNavy Career Center
Master Chief Christopher Reed 

A native of Lebanon, NJ, Master Chief Christopher Reed reported to Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL, in September 1997 and began his career as a seaman subfarer (striker).  He became a Yeoman in 1999, after taking and passing the Third Class Petty Officer exam.

He has served several sea duty assignments, including USS LOS ANGELES (SSN 688), USS CHARLOTTE (SSN 766), USS COLUMBIA (SSN 771) and Chief of the Boat assignments on 
His previous shore tours include admin support at Nuclear Power Training Unit, Ballston Spa, NY; Office Manager at Defense Intelligence Agency Liaison Office, Canberra, Australia; Chief Staff Officer at Submarine Squadron ONE; and most recently as the Assistant Lead at Submarine and Nuclear Placement, Navy Personnel Command.  

Reed is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 200/Blue) and CMC/COB Course, and has been awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (six awards), Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal (x5) and various other personal and unit awards.

He assumed the duties as the Command Master Chief, MyNavy Career Center on 6 December 2021.
