Captain M. Juanique Wallace, from Albany, Ga., enlisted as a fireman recruit in April 1991, attended Electrician's Mate "A" School and Naval Training Station, Great Lakes, Ill., and was meritoriously promoted to Electrician's Mate 3rd Class aboard AFDM 7 Sustain in 1992. In 1994 aboard USS L. Y. Spear (AS 36), she was selected for the Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection and Training (BOOST) program. She conferred a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Florida A&M University (2000), and holds a Master of Science in operation analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School (2007), a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War Collge (2018), and a doctoral degree in organization and management specializing in human resource management from Capella University (2018).
Capt. Wallace's assignments as a surface warfare officer from 2000-2004 were Administrative Officer for Commander, Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 14, Assistant Damage Control Assistant (ADCA) and SWOS Training Officer as the first female assigned to ship's company aboard USS Philippine Sea (CG 58), and Training Officer aboard USS Doyle (FFG 39). She laterally transferred into the Human Resources community in November 2004.
As a human resource officer, she was assigned as an officer recruiter and Officer Programs Officer (OPO) at Naval Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) Mid-America, St. Louis, Mo., as a program analyst in the Distribution Management, Statistics and Allocation Division (PERS-45) of Navy Personnel Command (NPC), Millington, Tenn., as a PM&T program analyst in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV N10), and Division Director of Operation Analysis at Navy Recruiting Command (NRC). She served as Commanding Officer of NTAG Jacksonville from November 2018 until April 2020, and U.S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) J1 Plans, Policy and Programs Division chief in Tampa, Fla., until May 2022. From September 2023 until March 2025, she served as Commanding Officer of Navy Manpower and Analysis Center (NAVMAC). She is currently assigned as Chief of Staff for Commander, MyNavy Career Center (CMNCC).
Capt. Wallace's personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5), and various unit citations. She is a Joint Qualified Officer, maintains currency in her Professional Human Resource (PHR) certification, is a certified SHRM Professional (SHRM/CP), and is trained to certify Resilience Building Leaders (RBLP-T).
