Ready Reserve officers use board id # 285.
TAR officers only use board id # 286.

This board considers eligible lieutenants with designators that:

begin with 1 (such as 1125, an unrestricted line Submariner or 1835 restricted line Intelligence Officer)
are line designated LDO officers (61xx, 62xx, 63xx, 64xx).
are TAR (formerly called FTS). TAR are considered for promotion by the same membership. The TAR have a separate board id # as their records are active duty and cannot be loaded into the same board as selected reserve records.

Reservists in the IRR are eligible and will be considered by this board.

Eligible lieutenant reservists serving on active duty on mobilization orders, ADSW, or extended ADT orders will be considered on this board, not the active duty O4 line board.
