Enlisted Definite Recall Program

Enlisted Definite Recall Program
The Enlisted Definite Recall Program is designed to give enlisted SELRES personnel the opportunity to fill gapped or vacant billets across the Active Component (AC) and Reserve Component (FTS) communities. This is a completely voluntary program and includes duty stations across the Navy, to include OCONUS and CONUS installations, ships, squadrons, and NOSCs. All recalls are on a temporary basis, ranging from 12 to 36 months in length. Some recalls have the an opportunity for extension not to exceed a total of 36 months in length.
*For more information regarding the Definite Recall program, please email with the Subject "Enlisted Recall".

The Arm the NOSC Initiative is a unique opportunity for E5 and E6 SELRES members to serve as armed watch standers at off-installation NOSCs across the US. Additional opportunities to serve at the RCC and CNRFC levels exist for E7 and above.
*For more information regarding the Arm the NOSC Initiative, please email with the Subject "Arm the NOSC".

Interested personnel can find current definite recall opportunities on the Navy Reserve Homeport Operational Support Zip Serve Portal at
To find the advertisements, members should change the "Duration of Orders Max (days)" from 365 to 1096 and change the "Order Type" to "Definite Recall".
Officers and Enlisted personnel interested in the Recruiter Recall will need to begin the application process by sending an email PERS-92 at expressing your interest.  You will be sent Recall Eligibility Pre-screen form to complete and return to PERS-92.  If eligible for recall, you will be sent the Application Form. If ineligible for recall, you will be sent an email indicating why you were deemed ineligible.
Members that are eligible to apply will submit the Application Form, as well as any additional documentation as specified in the advertisement (if applicable), for the program for which they are applying.
-My prescreen says I am ineligible to apply. What do I need to do?
The reason you are ineligible will be notated on the prescreen when it is returned to you. To correct the discrepancy, contact your NOSC and advise them of what needs to be corrected.
-How do I know if my package is missing anything?
PERS-92 will email you directly if there is anything missing from your package; however please ensure you fully read the Billet Advertisement and submit a completed package the first time to maximize the chances of selection. Some commands will make their selections prior to the close of the advertisement, so the earlier that a completed application is submitted, the better. If the missing documentation is not submitted by the time the commands are making selections, incomplete packages will not be considered.
-How will I know if I have or have not been selected for a billet?
Once selections have been made, either the command or PERS-92 will contact all applicants and advise them of their selection status.
-Once I am selected for a billet how long does the process take before I get my orders?
Depending on the billet start date, it could take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks for the orders to be processed.
-How do I receive my orders?
PERS-92 will email you your orders as well as send them in message traffic.
