RC Mobilization Law & Policy

 
This webpage provides legal and policy guidance specific to RC personnel who are mobilized as an IA or as part of an established commissioned unit. The IA policy webpage also contains IA policy guidance applicable to RC personnel.

---Legal Authority---

Currently, RC personnel are involuntarily ordered to active duty under the authority of 10 U.S.C. § 12302 pursuant to a Presidential Declaration of National Emergency in Presidential Proclamation 7463 of 14 Sep 01 and Executive Order 13223 of 14 Sep 01.  RC personnel who volunteer to serve on active duty in support of contingency operations are issued orders under the authority of 10 U.S.C. § 12301(d).
