Master-at-Arms Community
Shore Special Programs
The Master-at-Arms rating will not be releasing Sailors to Shore Special Programs (i.e. RCD, Recruiting) until further notice.

Delineates the updated detailing process for Sailors applying through MNA. Announces update to Sailors negotiation window and CWAY application timeframes.

Delineates Sea Shore flow requirements for MA’s and announces updated requirements and duty locations for Dependent Restricted Tours (DRT).
My Navy Assignments
Apply for all 7 jobs in My Navy Assignments (MNA). Do not limit yourself by applying for billets outside your current paygrade. Paygrade substitutions require PERS-4013 (Enlisted Placement/Rating Specialist) and gaining command approval. Continuing to apply for billets outside of your paygrade may result in lost opportunities for the Sailor. If you have not completed a Dependent Restricted Tour IAW NAVADMIN 231/17 you will be detailed to fulfill said requirement.
Orders
Execute Orders as Written! - If your orders have an Intermediate-Stop (I-Stop), it serves a purpose. When Sailors take it upon themselves and "class up" before their reserved date as annotated, it causes a ripple effect in regards to funding. Given our tight fiscal situation, it's best we read and follow our orders thoroughly. If an NEC is not attached to the job you are applying for you are not eligible to have it added to your orders later.
Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP)
Ensure your EFM status is updated every 3 years or 14 months prior to your PRD. Members who are Category 6 EFM must update within 12 months. This will ensure your detailer can accommodate your specific needs with minimal delay. Review MILPERSMAN

, CAT 4 / CAT 5 will negotiate with their Detailers not through My Navy Assignments.
PRP SCREENING
Sailors executing orders to PRP commands, please ensure you have completed all screening requirements before the execution of your orders. Contact your detailer for any questions concerning screening requirements for this type of duty.
Harbor Patrol Units
If applying for Harbor Patrol Units ensure you meet the prerequisites for the job if NEC 853A is included via CANTRAC. If you do not have the prerequisites and are not located in an area where an HPU is available you will not be selected for the job.
Military Working Dog Program
Members that are currently transitioning from being a Dog Handler to a Kennel Master must meet specific pre-requisite training requirements before reporting to Lackland, AFB. Please click here
for training requirements.
Perspective MWD handlers review OPNAVINST 5585.2C to complete your package. Once complete submit through Regional Kennel Master and then to Program Manager for approval. If approved, member will receive highest priority orders for the MWD program.
Collocation
Please review MILPERSMAN
1300-1000
prior to submitting a 1306 via My Navy Career Center (MNCC) for collocation. Both member’s must communicate with their perspective detailer for coordination of follow-on orders.
