YN E1 - E7 TAR Detailer
901-874-3271

Communicate often with your detailer.  Do not be afraid to change platforms, locations, or to take on jobs that may seem "out of your comfort zone."  It's not about where you are stationed, it's about what you do when you are there.

*6 Keys to the Detailing process:
1. Communicate with your Detailer early.
2. Update your personal information on My Navy Assignment (**i.e. phone numbers and emails**).
3. Select up to seven jobs during each cycle of the negotiating process.
4. Be flexible when choosing duty stations.
5. When applying for billets, make sure to utilize the “Sailor comment” feature.  That speaks directly to the detailer and the command you are applying for.
6. When applying for billets in your paygrade, ask yourself “Why did I join the Navy?”

If you have questions concerning the detailing process, please ensure you seek out guidance from your Chain of Command.  Furthermore, don't hesitate to call or email your detailer directly if you have questions about career diversity and progression.  Communication is the key to success and it's very important that you relay information in the appropriate manner. Keep an open mind.  Your career is what you make it! Below are a couple hyperlinks of critical information for you to utilize and share.
