Ensure your personal contact information is up-to-date in MyNavy Assignment (MNA), this information is used by the system to send out notifications on selections and it is what Detailers utilize to contact Sailors.
Remember, you can apply for up to 7 jobs per month. If your Command Career Counselor or you are having issues logging in to MNA, You can communicate with me via email or phone and I will gladly assist with the application process on your behalf.
All billets advertised on MNA must be filled each cycle. Detailers may be required to select Sailors who have not applied for assignment or those early in their negotiation window. Detailers will attempt to fill all billets using a Sailor's desired selections first, however, fleet readiness requirements will ultimately be the driving factor in the Sailor's assignment.
As TAR Logistic Specialists, we do have a Sea/Shore flow but due to the limited number of sea duty billets in the Fleet, many LS’s will rotate back to shore. If this is the case, aim to do something within our community. If the opportunity arises during your application cycle you can do Instructor duty, Staff Command, Seabee Unit’s, Expeditionary Commands, ASD/FRC/FLC, Ceremonial Guard, or Navy Reserve Centers which are in all 50 states. In addition, we have some positions at Navy Recruit Division Command (E-5 through E-7).
