Redesignation to 1287
- Visit the BUPERS-351 website for the redesignation process.
- Please do not contact the Detailer to discuss your interest in the community. Please contact an existing 1287 officer (list at bottom of page), your nearest RTAG, or Navy Recruiting Reserve Command (NRRC).
- The 1287 PPR community is not a “hometown recruiter” program. Members may have the opportunity to remain in the same geographical location for the duration of their time in service, but may also be required to relocate based on poor performance or the needs of the Navy IAW with the PPR program.
- Applicants who desire a location that is not available, but who has a permanent residence within 50 miles of a Navy Reserve Center are welcome to apply. NRRC HQ has final say on location approval based on market needs.
If selected for 1287 PPR Redesignation
- PERS-92 will contact you and provide you with an acceptance/denial letter. Regardless of the due date on the letter, you do not have to return it until after the slating process is complete.
- The Detailer will coordinate the slating/detailing process for all selects to rank their preferences of available AOR locations. Please do not contact the Detailer individually.
- Once all slate inputs are received, the Detailer will coordinate with Navy Recruiting Reserve Command final slate approval.
- The approved slate will be shared with all selects.
- At this point you can accept or deny your 1287 redesignation and return your completed letter to PERS-92 with the Detailer cc’d on the email.
- If you accept, the Detailer will initiate your orders and add you to the 1287 Teams channel.
