TAR Overviews

The TAR enlisted community is comprised of 22 ratings manned by nearly 8,500 TAR Enlisted Sailors.  The TAR ECM shop performs a broad range of community management functions.  

Specific functions include, but are not limited to:  

• Developing recruiting requirements

• Establishing training requirements

• Developing advancement quotas

• Transitioning Sailors from the Active Component (AC) to TAR

• And from the RC back to TAR, via CWAY

• Developing Selective Reenlistment Bonus (SRB)

• Special Duty Assignment Pay (SDAP) and Enlistment Bonus (EB) levels

• Analyzing the impact of proposed policy changes on the communities

   AC2TAR Conversions
  All AC2TAR conversion requests must be submitted IAW MPM 1306-1501 via MNCC and must include the following required documents:

• NAVPERS 1306/7 (Enlisted Personnel Action Request - ePAR)
• PRIMS
• Last Three Evaluations

Training and Administration of the Reserve Course certificate “TAR 101”

This course requirement is mandatory for all AC to TAR applicants.

• Login to Navy E-Learning through My Navy Portal 
• Once in Navy E-Learning open the Course Catalog
• Search using:
  • Course number CNRFC TAR
  • Course Name Training and Administration of the Reserve Course

 
        Community Health Slides and Career Paths
