FTS Redesignation Board

*** UPDATED 4 May 2022 ***

The Spring FY22 TAR Transfer/Redesignation Board (#325) has adjourned and the results are posted below.

ALL:
  -
As a reminder, all Board Members, AC/TAR OCMs, AC/TAR Detailers, board support personnel, etc… are prohibited from discussing any specifics about the board.

SELECTEES:
  -  Selectees can expect an email within the next 2 weeks to accept or decline their selection.  You will have exactly 10 calendar days to return that letter to PERS-92.  Failure to return the letter within 10 days will constitute declination of the opportunity.  No extensions will be granted.  Conversion to TAR is contingent upon meeting all eligibility criteria and processing requirements.

Once all acceptance letters are received, your TAR detailer will contact you (please allow up to four weeks).  They will work with you and your current detailer on your next assignment timing.

Conversion process:
  -  Active Component officers (i.e., XXX0 designator): Once you accept your selection, we will determine the best time for you to redesignate to TAR/Reserves based on the needs of the Navy/PRD/promotion status/etc.  You will be issued a new oath into the Navy Reserves within 3 to 12 months.  Of note, your designator change can occur before or after you have new orders to your first TAR position (the two processes are independent of each other).

  -  Selective Reservists (i.e., XXX5 designator): You are already in the Reserves, so checking-in to your new TAR duty station will change your designator to XXX7.  Your TAR detailer will contact you to discuss your individual timing.

Congratulations to those selected and we look forward to working with you!
