a.  Description.  Black or khaki in color. Fore and aft cap made of Poly/Wool (figures 3501.10-1 and 3501.10-2).  UNISEX garrison cap is authorized for wear by male and female Sailors with appropriate uniforms and outerwear.

b.  Insignia.  For cap insignia, see article 4311 for Officers, 4321 for Chief Petty Officers, and 4331 for E1-E6 Personnel.

c.  Correct Wear.  Worn squarely on the head, with fore and aft crease centered vertically between the eyebrows and the lowest point approximately 1 inch above the eyebrows.

d.  Ownership Markings (Optional for Officers/CPOs).  On designated name­plate.

Note.  Figure 3501.10-1 (black garrison) cap may be worn optionally when the Navy Black Relax Fit Jacket (article 3501.30) and/or black V-Neck Sweater (article 3501.83) are worn in lieu of the Service Dress Blue coat.
