Master Chief Coffelt grew up in Houston, TX and enlisted in the Navy in 2002.  Upon completion of Basic Training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL he reported to Naval Air Technical Training Center in Pensacola, FL and completed Aviation Electrician’s Mate “A” School. He reported to his first duty station, Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron SEVEN EIGHT, the “Fighting Escargots” in Norfolk, VA where he completed JCS-tasked counter narcotics operations and was promoted to Second Class Petty Officer.
Upon completion of F/A-18 Career School he reported to the Reserve Strike Fighter Squadron TWO ZERO FOUR “River Rattlers”, in Belle Chasse, LA from 2005 to 2008 where he served as the Line Shack Supervisor. He then served as Avionics Leading Petty Officer and Maintenance Control Safe for Flight Leading Petty Officer at Fleet Logistics Support Squadron FIVE FIVE “Minutemen” in Point Mugu, CA from 2008 to 2012.  He completed four detachments and was promoted to First Class Petty Officer.
He then arrived at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL where he served as a Recruit Division Commander from 2012 to 2015 and trained nine recruit divisions, earning his Master Training Specialist certification, and was promoted to Chief Petty Officer. From 2015 to 2018, he served at Tactical Support Wing, Fort Worth, TX where he was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer.  He sat the F-5 Class Desk, coordinating squadron success at providing air combat training for three TOPGUN SFTI classes.
He then transferred to Fleet Logistics Support Squadron FIVE NINE “The Lone Star Express”, Fort Worth, TX from 2018 to 2022 where he earned his Master’s Degree in Organizational Management and served as the Maintenance Senior Chief.  It was there where he was promoted to Master Chief Petty Officer. In August 2022, he transferred to the Navy Manpower Analysis Center (NAVMAC) in Millington, TN and is currently serving as the Senior Enlisted Leader.  In February 2023, he was selected into the Command Master Chief Program.
Master Chief Coffelt’s awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various unit awards.
