STSCM (SS) Cory I. Rodgers
Senior Enlisted Leader, NAVMAC
STSCM (SS) Cory Rodgers, from Marquette, MI, enlisted as a SONAR Technician Submarines in March 2003. After attending Recruit Training Command, he graduated from the Navy’s Basic Enlisted Submarine School in Groton, CT. Following Submarine School he graduated from Sonar Technician Submarine “A” school, with a follow on tour on USS RHODE ISLAND (SSBN 740 BLUE) in Kings Bay, GA. While onboard USS RHODE ISLAND he was advanced to Petty Officer First Class and conducted 8 strategic deterrence patrols.
His follow on tour was COMSUBRON TWENTY where he served as the Tactical Weapons Chief. He was advanced to Chief Petty Officer in 2010 while stationed at COMSUBRON TWENTY. His follow on tour was onboard USS NORTH DAKOTA (SSN 784), where he served as the Weapons Department Senior Enlisted Advisor and was advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer. Onboard USS NORTH DAKOTA he earned the title of Plank owner and took the ship through initial sea trials and her first deployment. His follow on shore tour was on the staff of COMSUBDEVRON FIVE, where he was the Weapons Department Chief. While at COMSUBDEVRON FIVE, he qualified Chief of the Boat and was promoted to Master Chief Petty Officer. He served as the Chief of the Boat on USS CONNECTICUT (SSN 22), on his tenure he conducted two Western Pacific Deployments and participated in ICEX. He reported to NAVMAC in November of 2022 and relieved as the Senior Enlisted Leader.
Master Chief Rodgers is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy and the COB/CMC course in Newport, Rhode Island.
STSCM Rodgers’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals (three), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals (four), and various unit citations.
