Captain M. Juanique Wallace
Commanding Officer, NAVMAC
Captain M. Juanique Wallace, from Albany, GA, enlisted as a Fireman Recruit in April 1991. After attending Electrician’s Mate “A” School at Naval Training Station, Great Lakes, Ill, she was meritoriously promoted to EM3 onboard AFDM 7 Sustain. In 1994, she was selected for the Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection and Training (BOOST) program while onboard USS L.Y. Spear (AS 36). CAPT Wallace conferred a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Florida A&M University (2000), a Master of Science in Operation Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School (2007), a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College (2018) and holds a Doctorate degree in Organization and Management specializing in Human Resource Management from Capella University (2018).
As a Surface Warfare Officer from 2000-2004, she was Administrative Officer in COMDESRON 14; Assistant DCA, SWOS Training Officer, and the first female assigned to ship’s company in USS Philippine Sea (CG 58); and Training Officer in USS Doyle (FFG 39). CAPT Wallace laterally transferred into the Human Resources Community in November 2004.
As a Human Resource Officer, she was an Officer Recruiter and Officer Programs Officer (OPO) in NTAG Mid-America (St. Louis, MO); assigned to the Distribution Management, Statistics and Allocation Division (PERS 45) in Navy Personnel Command, Millington, TN; served as an MPTE Program Analyst in the Office of Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV N10) and Division Director of Operation Analysis in Navy Recruiting Command’s headquarters. CAPT Wallace served as Commanding Officer in NTAG Jacksonville from November 2018 until April 2020 and USSOCOM’s J1-P3 (Plans, Policy, and Programs) Division Chief in Tampa, FL until May 2022. She reported to Navy Manpower and Analysis Center (NAVMAC) as the Executive Officer, and assumed responsibilities as Commanding Officer in September 2023.
CAPT Wallace’s personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medals (three), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals (three), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals (five), and various unit citations. She is a Joint Qualified Officer, maintains currency in her Professional Human Resource Certification, is a certified SHRM Professional (SHRM/CP) and is trained to certify Resilience Building Leaders (RBLP-T).
