USS Bougainville​ (LHA-8)

 

USS Bougainville (LHA-8) is an America-class amphibious assault ship christened on December 2, 2023 and the second Navy ship to be named Bougainville. The America-class amphibious assault ships are designed to put ashore Marine Expeditionary Units while transporting and performing various missions with helicopter and V/STOL aircraft.
