FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
My prescreen says I am ineligible to apply. What do I need to do?
The reason you are ineligible will be notated on the prescreen when it is returned to you. To correct the discrepancy, contact your NRC and advise them of what needs to be corrected.
How do I know if my package is missing anything?
PERS-92 will email you directly if there is anything missing from your package; however please ensure you fully read the Billet Advertisement and submit a completed package the first time to maximize the chances of selection. Some commands will make their selections prior to the close of the advertisement, so the earlier that a completed application is submitted, the better. If the missing documentation is not submitted by the time the commands are making selections, incomplete packages will not be considered.
How will I know if I have or have not been selected for a billet?
Once selections have been made, either the command or PERS-92 will contact all applicants and advise them of their selection status.
Once I am selected for a billet how long does the process take before I get my orders?
Depending on the billet start date, it could take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks for the orders to be processed.
How do I receive my orders?
PERS-92 will email you your orders as well as send them in message traffic.
How long will it be before I receive my order?
For OCONUS orders, members must have their orders in hand no later than 60 days prior to reporting to the NRC.
For CONUS orders, members must have their orders in hand no later than 30 days prior to reporting to the NRC.
