Operational Manning Branch

Responsible for determining the quality and quantity of personnel required to perform a specific task. The command's Required Operational Capability and Projected Operational Environment (ROC/POE) is carefully studied to ensure proper watchstations are manned adequately. Along with studying the ROC/POE, the ship's current shipboard configuration is also identified to determine what equipment is presently onboard and utilized. All manpower standards identified are based on Condition I (Wartime Steaming) and Condition III (Peacetime Steaming) requirements, which is based on the minimum skill, paygrade, and quantity needed to accomplish a specific task.
