Overblouse, White (Female)
a. Description
White in color and made of 100% Polyester fabric with short sleeves and an open collar forming a V-neck (Figure 3602.1-1a).
b. Correct Wear
(1) Determination of proper sizing and fit should be accomplished while wearing Summer White or Dress White slacks, and following the sizing and fit chart available via the Navy Exchange Uniform Center.
(2) The overblouse will be worn outside the slacks or skirts, drape comfortably over the hips and chest. The bottom hem (length) of the overblouse will extend no further than the bottom side pocket opening, and will be no shorter than 1 ½ inches above the bottom of the side pocket opening.
(3) The overblouse will not be visible below the outer garment (jacket, coat or sweater) worn over it. On slacks without side pockets, the length of the overblouse will be commensurate with the required length of slacks with side pockets. All buttons will be fastened.
(4) For proper insignia placement, refer to article 4104 for Officers, 4212 for Chief Petty Officers.
(5) White undershirts are optional for wear in non-industrial ashore command environments.
c. Ownership Markings (Optional for Officers/CPOs)
Place first, middle (if applicable) and last initial on the care tag inside the collar of the overblouse. (Optional for Officers/CPOs)
