Welcome to the Reserve Component (RC) Aerospace Engineering Duty Officer (AEDO) Community Managers page. This website page is designed to provide helpful information on the RC AEDO Community including general guidance on the accession process for prospective candidates as well as information for current officers. RC AEDO Officers provide professional management and technical direction in the entire air weapon system acquisition process: the design, development, test, procurement, engineering, production, and logistic support of Naval aircraft, spacecraft, and weapons. AEDO's bring a unique blend of operational experience, astute leadership, and technical excellence to the design, acquisition, and support of Naval weapons systems. A Reserve Component AEDO augments and enhances these functions by leveraging their Naval and civilian skills and experience. RC AEDO accessions are limited to the minimum standards outlined in the AEDO Program Authorization located in the links on the bottom of this page. There you will also find important career links along with community specific professional milestone information. The AEDO career track is a long process, consisting of many varying assignments of increasing challenges and complexity that are commensurate to the rank associated to the billet being held. Accession, Affiliation, and Transition between Component Assistance: Local Recruiters can be found by searching for the Navy Recruiting District closest to your current or intended residential area.
