Description and Wear of Uniform Components

 
Article 3602.1
Overblouse, Khaki (Female)

 
a.  Description
Khaki in color and made of 75% Polyester/25% wool fabric with short sleeves and an open collar forming a V-neck (figure 3602.1-1).

b.  Correct Wear
(1) Determination of proper sizing and fit should be accomplished while wearing Service uniform slacks (khakis slacks for officers/CPOs and Navy Service Uniform beltless slacks for E1-E6).

(2) The overblouse will be worn outside slacks or skirts of the appropriate color, and will drape comfortably over the hips and chest. The bottom hem (length) of the overblouse will extend no further than the bottom side pocket opening, and will be no shorter than 1 ½ inches above the bottom of the side pocket opening.

(3) The overblouse will not be visible below the outer garment (jacket, coat, or sweater) worn over it. All buttons will be fastened.

(4) For insignia, see article 4104 for Officers, 4212 for Chief Petty Officers, and 4227 for E1-E6 Personnel. 

(5) White undershirts are optional for females at non-industrial environment shore commands.

c.  Ownership Markings (Optional for Officers/CPOs)
Place surname, first initial and middle initial (if applicable) vertically, beginning 1 inch from the bottom on the inner side of the front fold on which the buttons are sewn. (Optional for Officers/CPOs)
