Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

  • What Do I Do if I Have an Award Discrepancy?  Review the NDAWS FAQ (MAR 2025) - your one stop shop for award information.  All requests flow through MyNavy Career Center (MNCC).

  • How Do I Submit a Self-Nomination Package?  First and foremost, information included in Fitness Reports matter, especially when submitting a self-nomination package for subspecialty or acquisition experience.

    • Subspecialty Experience - Reference the Education Skills Requirements (ESRs) and Core Skills Requirements (CSRs) to capture your performance accurately. ESRs and CSRs can be found on the subspecialty and transcripts page.
    • Acquisition Experience - Reference the Position Category Descriptions (PCDs) for each acquisition category.
    • Send all self-nomination packages to the SCCC for initial review.  If your application package meets the requirements, the SCCC will send it to the OCM for final adjudication.
  • What Do I Do if My eDACM Account Hasn't Updated With My Current Command Information Or if My Acquisition Clock Hasn't Started Your personal and position data will automatically update via a data feed received from the authoritative manpower system 45-60 days after your report date at your new command. If this does not occur, reach out to the eDACM support team with questions (eDACM_Support@us.navy.mil).  All acquisition time will be backdated once your information is updated.

  • How Do I Update My Advanced Qualification Designation (AQDs), Navy Officer Billet Classifications (NOBCs), and Service Schools?  Reference the Navy Officer Occupational Classification System (NOOCS) Manual to research codes and qualifying criteria.

    • After completing 18 months in a coded subspecialty billet, email the SCCC requesting to update your record.
    • All NOBC and service school requests flow through MNCC (askmncc.fct@navy.mil).
    • Send all AQD requests (with applicable certificate(s) and FITREP) to the SCCC for review and entry into your record.
  • What Do I Do if I have FITREP Continuity Discrepancies?  If you have gaps or overruns in your Performance Summary Report (PSR), Review Chapter 15 of the BUPERSINST 1610.10H and Administrative Change Requests (ACRs).  Submit all ACRs to the SCCC for review and submission to PERS32.

  • What Do I Do if I Have Scoring Errors on a FITREP (e.g. Incorrect RSCA, Changes to Trait Averages)? Review Chapter 15 of BUPERSINST 1610.10H and Letter Supplementals. Submit all letters to the SCCC for review and submission to PERS32.

    • A Letter Supplemental does NOT replace your original FITREP. It acts as an amendment to the original and will be seen on your PSR and reviewed during all statutory and administrative boards.

    • A Letter Supplemental must be signed by the Reporting Senior who signed your FITREP
    • If the scoring error is administrative i.e. entered incorrectly into your personal database, send the SCCC your FITREP and PSR. The SCCC will work with PERS32 to correct said administrative error.
