September 2026 Cycle Internship Billet List 

Congratulations to our June internship selectees! Now our September 2026 Internship cycle is underway! Internship screenings are now held quarterly in March, June, September, and December. As a reminder, all internships are 24 months.
PRD window: May 2027 to January 2028.
Application deadline: 21 September 2026. 

Note: Naval Reactor (NR) internship applications are accepted year-round, regardless of PRD.

Internship Eligibility Requirements

• Officers (O1-O3) within advertised PRD window* (accepting PRD change requests to 24 months for Officers on their 1st operational tour).
• Will complete one operational tour.
• Application packages may be submitted prior to earning a warfare qualification however, a warfare qualification must be obtained prior to receiving orders if selected. Please notify IPC an estimate of when you expect to earn the qual.

​*Officers on their 1st operational tour with a PRD earlier than the advertised window may apply as long as they do not have orders to their follow-on tour

Internship Screening Application Submission

Email either the IPC or supply_corps_cc@navy.mil. Include:

1. Required and/or Optional documents in PDF format. Okay to send multiple PDF's if you're unable to combine into one document.
2. Your billet preferences. Complete the Preferences tab under the Excel billet list at the top of this page.
3. In your email to the IPC, include anything your detailer should be aware of (i.e. Mil-Mil, dependents in EFMP program, etc).

• ODC, OSR, PSR (IPC adds this information to the end of your application)

• Letters of Recommendation (O-4 ASUPPO / Squadron SUPPO / O-3 SUPPO)
• Awards during DIVO/DH tour
• Any other amplifying documentation you think may strengthen your application

Internship Selection

Selection is made based on an officer’s sustained superior performance as seen in their application and record.  Officers will only be selected to what they listed on the Preference tab of the Internship Billet list.

Selection is promulgated via FLASH from the Chief of the Supply Corps. Upon selection, officers can expect to rotate to their internship once the minimum tour length is met and a relief is properly identified. This typically aligns to PRD.

Note: Intern applicants must halt orders negotiations with the LT/LTJG Shore detailer and/or the Operational Detailer.  Intern applicants who are not selected for an internship may begin negotiating for orders upon release of the intern screening results.  We are currently gapping around 15% of internships and LT/LTJG shore billets, ensuring fill of operational and control grade billets.

2027 Naval Reactors Internship Opportunities

The Naval Reactors Internship offers Supply Officers a unique opportunity to enhance their career and expand their education! NR interns will earn a Subspec and AQD in either Contracting or Financial Management. In addition, they also have the opportunity to earn a Master's degree funded by the DON/DOE. 

To be considered for a Naval Reactors position, interested officers must submit an application package to the IPC via supply_corps_cc@navy.mil. The Naval Reactor Program will review the packages, conduct in-person interviews, and make the final selection.  Strongly recommend applying 12 months prior to your PRD.
 

Application packages must include:

1.  Screening Request (Request Template)
2.  Endorsement Letter from Commanding Officer
3.  Warfare Qualification
4.  All FITREPs and any other career information not yet posted on OSR/PSR
5.  College/Graduate Transcripts (unofficial will suffice)
6.  Current ODC, OSR, and PSR
