Supply Corps Internships
Stay tuned for the April 2025 internship billet list! The April 2025 billet list will be posted below for transparency.
Note: Naval Reactor (NR) internship applications are accepted year-round, regardless of PRD.
Fall 2024 Cycle Updated Internship Billet List
Starting in 2025, internship screenings will be held tri-annually in April, August, and December. Selection is made based on an officer’s sustained superior performance, billet availability, input by Supply Corps Competency Leads, and their PRD. Officers selected to an internship program with multiple advertised locations can be assigned to any billet location. Officers accepting internship orders must agree to remain on active duty for at least 12-months payback period following completion of the internship. For more information and package format, refer to the Supply Corps Internship Program Instruction (NAVSUP 1520.5C).
Internship Eligibility Requirements
- Officers (O1-O3) within advertised PRD window (accepting waivers)
- Have, or will have, completed one operational tour
- Application packages may be submitted prior to earning a warfare qualification however, a warfare qualification must be obtained prior to receiving orders if selected
Internship Screening Application Submission
The application process has been simplified! Only the below needs to be completed and emailed to the Internship Program Coordinator. Of note, all PII MUST BE REMOVED (i.e., Social Security Number, Last four digits of SSN, Date of Birth, etc.). Upon submitting an application, officers will receive a confirmation email from the Internship Program Coordinator.
Notification of selection will be via FLASH from the Chief of the Supply Corps. Upon selection, officers can expect to rotate to their internship once the minimum tour length is met and a relief properly identified.
Note: Intern applicants must halt orders negotiations with the LT/LTJG Shore detailer and/or the Operational Detailer. Intern applicants who are not selected for an internship may begin negotiating for orders upon release of the intern screening results. We are currently gapping 50% of internships and LT/LTJG shore billets, ensuring fill of operational and control grade billets.
Naval Reactors Internship
To be considered for a Naval Reactors position, interested officers must submit an application package to the Internship Program Coordinator via supply_corps_cc@navy.mil. The Naval Reactor Program will review the packages, conduct in-person interviews, and make the final selection. Recommend applying 12 months prior to your PRD.
Application packages must include:
1. Screening Request (Request Template)
2. Endorsement Letter from Commanding Officer
3. Warfare Qualification
4. All FITREPs and any other career information not yet posted on OSR/PSR
5. College/Graduate Transcripts (unofficial will suffice)
6. Supply Corps School standing
7. Why you did not interview with Naval Reactors as an Ensign at Supply Corps School
8. Current ODC, OSR, and PSR
