Supply Corps Internships
The April 2025 Internship Cycle has begun! The PRD window for this cycle is February 2026 to December 2026. Deadline for application submission is 4 April 2025. The billet list is posted below for transparency.
Note: Naval Reactor (NR) internship applications are accepted year-round, regardless of PRD.
April 2025 Cycle Internship Billet List - Updated 19 March 2025
Internship screenings are held in April, August, and December. Selection is made based on an officer’s sustained superior performance, their PRD, and billet availability. Officers selected to an internship program with multiple advertised locations can be assigned to any billet location that they list under their preferences. For more information, refer to the Supply Corps Internship Program Instruction (NAVSUP 1520.5C) Updated instruction with new package format currently being routed.
Internship Eligibility Requirements
- Officers (O1-O3) within advertised PRD window* (accepting PRD change requests for Officers on their 1st operational tour)
- Have, or will have, completed one operational tour
- Application packages may be submitted prior to earning a warfare qualification however, a warfare qualification must be obtained prior to receiving orders if selected
*Officers on their 1st operational tour with a PRD earlier than the advertised window may apply as long as they do not have orders
Internship Screening Application Submission
The application process has been simplified! Only the below needs to be completed and emailed to the Internship Program Coordinator. Letters of Recommendation, awards, or any other amplifying documentation may be included to strengthen your package, but these are not required to apply. Of note, all PII MUST BE REMOVED (i.e., Social Security Number, Last four digits of SSN, Date of Birth, etc.). Upon submitting an application to supply_corps_cc@navy.mil, officers will receive a confirmation email from the Internship Program Coordinator. When submitting your application, please annotate in the email body whether you would like to submit your preferences by intern program, location, or specific billet (choose only one). This will determine the preference sheet sent to you upon application receipt.
Notification of selection will be via FLASH from the Chief of the Supply Corps. Upon selection, officers can expect to rotate to their internship once the minimum tour length is met and a relief properly identified.
Note: Intern applicants must halt orders negotiations with the LT/LTJG Shore detailer and/or the Operational Detailer. Intern applicants who are not selected for an internship may begin negotiating for orders upon release of the intern screening results. We are currently gapping 50% of internships and LT/LTJG shore billets, ensuring fill of operational and control grade billets.
Naval Reactors Internship
To be considered for a Naval Reactors position, interested officers must submit an application package to the Internship Program Coordinator via supply_corps_cc@navy.mil. The Naval Reactor Program will review the packages, conduct in-person interviews, and make the final selection. Recommend applying 12 months prior to your PRD.
Application packages must include:
1. Screening Request (Request Template)
2. Endorsement Letter from Commanding Officer
3. Warfare Qualification
4. All FITREPs and any other career information not yet posted on OSR/PSR
5. College/Graduate Transcripts (unofficial will suffice)
